Music Business Worldwide A&R Awards 2017

Finalists have been announced for the Music Business Worldwide A&R awards, which will be presented in November and UMPG have been nominated for seven awards in a variety of categories.  

UMPG have been nominated for the following awards: 

Rex Orange County is up for 'Breaking Artist Award' an award which recognises a mixture of creative, critical and commercial achievement. This award will be dedicated to those new A&R projects and show real promise for a sustainable future career. 

Rodaidh McDonald and Steve Mac have both been nominated for 'Producer of the Year' - Supported by Abbey Road Studios. Voted on by a wide range of A&R professionals in various disciplines, this award will mark out the true 'A&Rs' producer' of the past 12 months.

Jin Jin (Janee Bennett) and Steve Mac are up for 'Songwriter of the Year' - voted on by a wide range of A&R professionals in various disciplines, this award will mark out the true 'A&Rs' songwriter' of the past year.

Darryl Watts & Colette Goodfellow have been nominated in the 'A&R of the Year: Electronic/Dance' category, an award which recognises an A&R individual or double-act at a label, publisher or management company, this award will be judged on the development and/or signing of two songwriters / artists over the past 12 months that have gone on to enjoy noteworthy success in the genre.

And finally, Universal Music Publishing are nominated in the 'Publisher' category.
