Universal Music Publishing Group today announced that prolific composer Harry Gregson-Williams has signed a global administration deal.
Harry is one of the most sought-after composers in Hollywood, with a lengthy list of high profile film and TV credits. With recent projects including ‘The Meg’, ‘The Equalizer 2’, ‘Aardman Animation’s Early Man’, as well as writing the score for Disneynature’s ‘Penguins’, and the score for Disney’s live-action feature film ‘Mulan’ (due out in 2020) Harry’s a pervading presence in the world of film – and rightly so.
He’s just as in command in the TV world, scoring the limited series ‘Catch-22’ alongside his brother, composer Rupert Gregson-Williams and the ABC action drama Whiskey Cavalier. Last year he wrote the main title theme and scored two episodes of Amazon’s 10-part sci-fi anthology series, Philip K. Dick’s ‘Electric Dreams’. He received an Emmy momination for his work on the episode ‘The Commuter’.
Lauded for his work on all four instalments of the ‘Shrek’ franchise, Harry garnered a BAFTA nomination for the first film. He’s also received Golden Globe and Grammy Award nominations for his score for ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’.
A further testament to Harry’s talent, he’s collaborated with a number of directors, multiple times including Ben Affleck (‘Live by Night,’ ‘The Town’ and ‘Gone Baby Gone’); Joel Schumacher (‘Twelve’, ‘The Number 23,’ ‘Veronica Guerin,’ and ‘Phone Booth’); Tony Scott (‘Unstoppable, ‘The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3,’ ‘Déjà vu,’ ‘Domino,’ ‘Man on Fire,’ ‘Spy Game’ and ‘Enemy of State’);Ridley Scott (‘The Martian,’ ‘Kingdom of Heaven,’); Bille August (‘Return to Sender’ and ‘Smilla’s Sense of Snow,’); Andrew Adamson on the ‘Shrek’ series and Antoine Fuqua (‘The Replacement Killers’ and ‘The Equalizer” films).
His many other credits include ‘The Zookeeper’s Wife’, ‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’ and ‘Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason,’ as well as scores for a host of animated features, including ‘Arthur Christmas,’ ‘Flushed Away’ and ‘Chicken Run’. Not forgetting games, – Harry has scored three of the five games in the highly successful ‘Metal Gear Solid’ franchise and ‘Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’ – his skill knows no bounds.
We’re very much looking forward to working with Harry.
