Kid Harpoon, Headie One & Dua Lipa honoured in Music Week End of Year Awards

Kid Harpoon, Headie One and Dua Lipa (Tap Music) have all been honoured at Music Week’s End of Year 2020 awards.

Kid Harpoon (AKA Tom Hull) has been named Music Week’s ‘Songwriter of the Year’ 2020, following a year which has seen ‘Fine Line’, which he co-write with Harry Styles, go platinum in both the UK and USA, with ‘Watermelon Sugar’ became the first US number one single for both Styles and Hull. ‘Fine Line’ was also nominated for the Grammy Award for ‘Pop Vocal Album’, and Kid Harpoon has been named one of Variety’s Hitmakers of 2020.
Hull heads into 2021 on a continued winning streak as a long-term in-depth collaborator, mentor and musical talisman by producing and writing across Shawn Mendes’ critically acclaimed new album ‘In Wonder’.

Headie One received the award for ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year’. His debut album ‘EDNA’ was released in October and went straight to No.1 in the UK. Headie One was recently named ‘Best Male Act’ at the MOBO Awards, as well as winning ‘Song of the Year’ for his collaboration with Young T & Bugsey - 'Don't Rush'.

Dua Lipa has been named ‘Artist of the Year’, following a year in which she topped charts with 'Future Nostalgia' (spending four weeks at No.1 in the UK), received six Grammy nominations and broke viewing records with her Studio 2054 livestream.

Congratulations from everyone at Universal Music Publishing.
