UMPG artists and writers have featured heavily in The Guardian’s countdown of the 100 Greatest UK No 1s, with eight UMPG tracks in the Top 20. 

Carly Rae Jepsen ‘Call Me Maybe’ clocked in at #20, followed by Lil Nas X ‘Old Town Road’ co-written by YoungKio at #19. Kylie Minogue ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ co-written by Robert Davis placed at #17. Following that were Frankie Goes To Hollywood ‘Relax’ (#13), Sinead O’Connor ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’, written by Prince (#12), The Beach Boys ‘Good Vibrations’ (#11) and ABBA ‘Dancing Queen’ (#9). The Prodigy ‘Firestarter’, feat. an Art Of Noise sample, placed highest at #8.
