Fredo, Headie One, Burna Boy, Fred Again, Little Simz and more are among the nominees for GRM Daily’s Rated Awards 2020.
J Hus’ ‘Big Conspiracy,’ which features a Burna Boy co-write is up for Album of the Year, alongside Stormzy ‘Heavy Is The Head,’ co-written by Chris Andoh, Fred Again, Jay Weathers, Prgrshn, Headie One, HER, Burna Boy and 6IXVI. Skepta, Chip & Yong Adz ‘Insomnia’ is also nominated, which features co-writes from UMPG writers, Adrian Francis, Curtis James and Mark Waxkirsh, plus a sample of The Clash ‘Straight to Hell’ in ‘St Tropez’.
Headie One is nominated for Mixtape of the Year with ‘Music x Road’.
UMPG writers were involved in a number of the nominations for Track of the Year, including WhyJay for Aitch ‘Taste (Make it Shake)’, Mist ‘So High (ft. Fredo)’ and Stormzy ‘Own It (feat. Ed Sheeran & Burna Boy)’, which is co-written by Fred Again.
Elsewhere, Fredo and Headie One are up for Male Artists of the Year, while Little Simz and Darkoo are up for Female Artist of the Year. Darkoo is also nominated for Breakthrough of the Year.
