Smirnoff’s new global ad campaign celebrates the brand’s 155 year legacy by celebrating the drink’s dramatic history. 

The 60 second commercial shows the iconic vodka being smuggled out of Russia, through Europe and into America, and is shot in the style of a historical thriller. The campaign was developed in partnership with creative agency 72andSunny and directed by Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman, Ghost in the Shell). 

The spot is set to El Michels Affair  - “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” (originally recorded by Ol’ Dirty Bastard). UMPG publish the track via Robert Diggs.
