A new song written by Randy Newman about social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic features in the latest commercial for Nissan.

Newman originally wrote “Stay Away” for KPCC, a Southern California radio station. The lyrics include, “Stay away from me/baby, keep your distance, please/stay away from me/words of love in times like these.”

The touching spot from Nissan shows friends and families finding ways to ‘stay close – while you stay away’.
