Sixteen songs from iconic UMPG artists & writers feature in the soundtrack for Season 2 of FX’s hit show The Bear. The second series follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri), and Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they turn their grimy sandwich joint into a next-level restaurant.
UMPG artists and writers featured in the soundtrack include R.E.M., Pearl Jam, Otis Redding, Taylor Swift, Pixies, Beach Boys, Brian Eno and John Cale.
Multiple iterations of R.E.M. - “Strange Currencies” appear throughout the season, and the song also features prominently in the official trailer. The band have released a full-length music video for “Strange Currencies" (Remix/The Bear Edit), which combines footage from R.E.M.’s Road Movie (documenting their 1995 tour), plus exclusive clips and behind-the-scenes footage from The Bear’s second season.
The Bear Season 2 is available to stream on Hulu.
