Latin Grammys 2016: UMPG Writers Take 51 Nominations

MIAMI BEACH, FL -- Universal Music Publishing Group is proud to announce the company has a publishing interest related to 51 nominations in 31 categories for the 17th Annual LATIN GRAMMY Awards.

UMPG songwriter Claudia Brant leads the company’s nominees with participation in five nominated albums, including Record Of The Year for “Iguales.” Producer Julio Reyes Copello has participation in four nominations, including two for Album Of The Year. The late Juan Gabriel received three nominations, including Album of the Year and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for “Los Dúo.” Colombia’s Andrés Cepeda earned two nominations, Album of the Year and Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for “Mil Ciudades.”

UMPG Spain artists Alejandro Sanz, Pedro Guerra, Pablo López, and Morat also received nominations, with producer Kim Fanlo getting a nod for Producer Of The Year for Pablo Lopez’ “El Mundo y Los Amantes Inocentes.”

Other UMPG nominees include J Balvin, Leonel García (Sin Bandera), Paula Fernandes, La Santa Cecilia, Jorge Luis Piloto, Master Chris and Ceú.

The awards will be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 17th, 2016.
