Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), Universal Music Group’s leading, global music publishing division, today announced the acquisition of Bob Dylan’s entire catalog of songs. This landmark agreement encompasses more than 600 copyrights spanning 60 years, from 1962’s cultural milestone “Blowin’ In The Wind” to this year’s epic “Murder Most Foul.” 

Agnes - 'Fingers Crossed' (written with Vargas & Lagola) claimed the No. 1 spot on the Swedish airplay chart for 3 consecutive weeks.

On October 30th, Swedish music duo Vincent Pontare and Salem Al Fakir released their second studio album Mount Alda under the name Vargas & Lagola. In connection with the release the duo is collaborating with Spotify by doing an exclusive digital concert. All in the spirit of art and theater.

The 63rd GRAMMY Awards are right around the corner, airing Sunday, January 31st on CBS and the nominees have been announced. UMPG Scandinavia are happy to have interest in albums nominated.

Jackie Alway OBE, EVP, International Legal & Industry Affairs at Universal Music Publishing Group, is one of 24 names on this year's Music Week Women In Music Roll of Honour - a list which celebrates female executives across the industry. 

In 2019 Jackie received an OBE in recognition of her invaluable contribution to the music industry. She has chaired the Music Publishers Association for four years, and is a Board member for UK Music, PRS for Music, the MCPS, the International Music Publishers Association, a Board Director of MCPS Ireland and a member of the Council of the Music Publishers Association of Ireland.
