In the first half of 2023 alone, Doechii was named the RISING STAR in Billboard Women in Music (previous winners Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande etc.), performed the main stage at Coachella, is the second lead in the A24 film Earth Mama (100% rotten tomatoes), and is nominated for both Best New Artist at this year’s BET Awards and as Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist at the GLAAD Media Awards. Her new single, “What It Is (Block Boy)” went viral on TikTok and currently tops Apple music charts. The track samples “Some Cut” and “No Scrubs.” and enabled her to make her Billboard Hot 100 debut, peaking at No. 75 while also peaking at No. 11 on the Global Shazam Chart.

Doechii’s meteoric rise as one of the hottest and most talented new artists is a testament to the depth of her sound and the deliberate ability to put all of herself into everything. With her 2022 EP she / her / black bitch the Tampa native cements herself as a distinct voice whose versatile talents range from quick-fire bars to seductive singing. She walked the runway for Vogue at fashion week.
