Michael Uzowuru

Michael Uzowuru is a Nigerian-American artist and producer. Beginning his career as an affiliate of famed SoCal collective Odd Future–through which he met longstanding collaborator Frank Ocean (“Nights,”  “Chanel,” Ocean’s conceptual project Endless)–Michael has built a reputation as one of the most in-demand, thoughtful producers in music. His catalog includes widely praised and influential works from Rosalia (winning two Grammys for his work on her album Motomami), FKA Twigs (“Cellophane”), SZA (“Open Arms” ft. Travis Scott, “Notice Me,” “Awkward”), Beyonce (“Mood 4eva,” “Brown Skin Girl”), Vince Staples, Kevin Abstract, Burna Boy, Snoh Aalegra, Dominic Fike, and Kendrick Lamar among others.

Along with traditional production work, Michael collaborated closely with Spike Jonze on Apple's "Welcome Home" Homepod commercial, producing the song used in the ad and developing marketing ideas with Spike for the campaign. He contributed Emmy-nominated work to Michelle Obama’s Becoming documentary, and  in 2023  scored Donald Glover’s widely acclaimed show Swarm, also serving as the executive producer for the show’s soundtrack.
