Andy Hopkins

Universal Music Publishing Australia are proud to represent Andy Hopkins as part of a JV with Left Hand Publishing, a division of Michael Parisi Management.

As a talented songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer, Andy Hopkins credits his parents for forcing him to attend piano lessons at age 3, and his father’s old acoustic guitar for triggering his never-ending fascination with writing songs. At age 10, he had written and rehearsed enough poorly written material to start busking at the local markets.

At age 15, he received a full scholarship at John Curtin College of the Arts, then went on to study audio engineering at SAE, and later a Bachelor of Jazz Performance at the prestigious WA Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), all the while running his own music school. He wrote 100’s of songs in his late teens, and played in several bands - one of which, hip-hop group UpnUp, found significant success, supporting the likes of Macklemore.

In 2014, Andy moved to London and released his first single ‘I Wish (You Were Mine)’ under artist name ‘Anders’, which went viral on SoundCloud. His music has since received over 10 million streams, and gained him a devoted following.

Andy now lives in Sydney and has started writing and producing for other artists, and will soon be releasing music under his new act, ‘Hauskey’. He most recently worked on Yorke’s latest single ‘Thought I Could’ which reached rotation on Australian National Broadcaster, Triple J.
