Adamant to make her mark by standing out, not fitting in; BOI has her own bold mission of individuality. She bravely sources her scars, trespasses and experiences as her “library” to create and connect. 

Her appetite for song writing came in her teens, when older brother James began teaching himself guitar. Over many late nights the two spent time harmonising, writing music and lyrics. Their hard work culminated in 5 years together as the band Nova & The Experience. 

So far, she has performed and worked with LDRU, Elk Road, Super Cruel, Alex Lahey, TORA, The Chainsmokers, Godlands, Xavier Dunn, Pheobe Starr, Mario Spate, Andy Hopkins, Andrew Beauford and Liam Quinn. 

In 2019 BOI debuted with 'Imaginary Boys', the first track she wrote as a solo artist and followed it up with consecutive singles 'Sick Of Loving You' and 'Beast And Beauty'.
