Adrian Pieragostino

Latin Grammy award-winning songwriter and producer Adrián Pieragostino was born in Caracas, Venezuela. The son of Italian immigrants, he attended the National Conservatory of Music in Caracas.  After leaving college in 1993, he relocated to Mexico to join the band Fantasmas del Caribe. By 1994, the band had won Best New Artist at the Premio Lo Nuestro Awards, the “Gaviota de Plata” Award at the Viña del Mar Festival in Chile, and multiple double-platinum discs throughout Latin America.

Adrian left the group to become a songwriter/producer. In 2008, he received a Latin Grammy nomination as a producer in the Best Banda Album category for the group Los Horóscopos de Durango. Among his hits are the 2012 Latin Grammy-nominated singles “El Día Que Me Fuí” (Shaila Durcal) and “El Mejor Perfume” (La Original Banda El Limón). He also served as a judge in the Azteca America-produced musical reality TV show La Academia USA, which at the time was the first musical reality show featuring strictly Hispanic contestants.

Adrián has won 8 BMI Latin Awards and has worked with artists such as Sergio Dalma, Luis Miguel, Marco Antonio Solís, Dareyes de la Sierra, Cristian Castro, Gerardo Ortíz, El Dasa, Ana Bárbara, 3BallMTY, Ha-Ash and Banda El Recodo, among others.
