Songwriter JORGE LUIS PILOTO has enjoyed a long and prolific career as a contemporary Latin pop hitmaker and music executive. He's written songs for numerous performers, among them Chayanne, José Feliciano, José José, Rey Ruiz, Luis Enrique, Jerry Rivera, La Mafia, Frankie Negrón, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Francesca Cezán, Lourdes Robles, Lissette Álvarez, Willie González, Yolandita Monge, and salsa queen Celia Cruz, among many others. He was also the head of A&R for Sony Music Latin in Miami from 1988-1996. In 1993, he won the inaugural ASCAP Award for Latin Songwriter of the Year.

Piloto entered the new millennium on a hot streak, writing number one hits for artists such as Jaci Velásquez ("Como Se Cura una Herida"), Olga Tañón ("Como Olvidar"), and Pilar Montenegro ("Quítame Ese Hombre"); the latter two were nominated for Latin Grammy Awards. He also contributed "Falsas Esperanzas" to Christina Aguilera's Spanish-language album Mi Reflejo. In 2002, he signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with UMPG.

During the last decade, he's earned countless Latin Grammy nominations and won the Latin Grammy Award in 2009 as co-writer of "Yo No Sé Mañana," a number one hit by Luis Enrique. Among his recent collaborations in 2018 are "Como En Las Vegas" by Olga Tañón feat. Chyno Miranda (performed during the 30th anniversary of Univision's Premios Lo Nuestro in February); "Enamórate Bailando" by Reyner Perez & Su Septeto Acarey feat. Gilberto Santa Rosa; and "Nos Fuimos Lejos," by Descemer Bueno & Enrique Iglesias feat. El Micha.
