Juan Frías a.k.a Brasa is a songwriter/artist/producer born in Dominican Republic and raised in New Jersey. In 2012, he moved back to Santo Domingo to pursue a career as an Urban Latin artist and has since worked on perfecting his songwriting skills. As an artist, he has released songs featuring some of the top Dominican Urban artists such as Poeta Callejero, Chimbala, El Mayor, Sensato and Bulova's Family.  

In 2017, he was approached by his childhood friends Mambo Kingz (producers Edgar and Xavier Semper) to write for other artists; they saw his potential as a songwriter and melody creator and insisted he give it a try. From then on, Brasa has co-written the hits "Sensualidad" by Bad Bunny, Prince Royce & J Balvin, “Explícale” by Yandel ft. Bad Bunny, “Solo Yo” by CNCO and has participation in tracks by Jennifer Lopez, Cosculluela, Arcangel working hand in hand with Mambo Kingz, DJ Luian, Light GM, JMX, Kairo La Sinfonia and Rubiera. Among his upcoming projects are producing/co-writing a compilation album (“Brasa Presents”) and producing an album for new female artist Alina.
