Guy Sebastian

ARIA Award winning artist Guy Sebastian has enjoyed more Top 20 singles and more Number 1 singles than any other Australian male artist in Australian chart history. After selling in excess of 2m records worldwide, 2012 has seen Guy achieve further chart success as he readies his much anticipated sixth Studio album ‘Armageddon’.

The first single ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy’ (not to be confused with the Bobby McFerrin track of the same name) reached 3 x Platinum status whilst the follow-up ‘Gold’ has become a Top 10 chart hit and a radio staple however it is the new single ‘Battle Scars’ featuring US rapper Lupe Fiasco that offers the most honest glimpse into Guy’s new album.

‘Battle Scars’ shines a spotlight on Guy’s innate ability to write an honest lyric and deliver it with conviction. Guy’s melodies collide with Lupe’s raps to irresistible effect - it's a song about emotional vulnerability and hurt, a theme that will feature throughout ‘Armageddon’.

‘Battle Scars’ feat. Lupe Fiasco has debuted at Number 1 on the ARIA singles charts and became Guy’s sixth career Number 1 in the process. The song has also been added to Lupe Fiasco’s new album ‘Lamborghini Angels’ and will further build on Guy’s growing international profile following performances on stage with the likes of the Black Eyed Peas and The Roots.

As a songwriter Guy has penned songs for some of the biggest artists in the world including Usher. Guy is a multiple APRA award winner and most recently took home the 2011 ‘Urban Work of the Year’ for ‘Who’s That Girl’ feat. Eve.

Aside from his music, Guy enjoys a reputation as a person of the highest moral values and integrity. He is an official ambassador for World Vision, Project Futures and The Red Cross and gives his time freely for countless other charities, children's hospitals and people in need.
