Jaws The Shark is the Solo project of dynamic UK based artist Olly Bailey. With his unique sound and undeniable talent, Jaws The Shark has ascended swiftly through the ranks to become a rising star within the industry.

Hailing from a small town in Devon, before relocating to London, Bailey discovered his passion for music at an early age. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of genres, from rock and indie to electronic and shoegaze, he has developed a sound that seamlessly blends different styles together.

Bailey’s breakthrough came when he received significant support from the likes of BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio 1 and Radio X, as well as featuring on a number of high profile playlists on popular streaming services such as Spotify and Amazon music. These platforms helped introduce Jaws The Shark to a larger audience, sparking a wave of excitement and anticipation.

In 2022, Jaws The Shark released ‘Another Day In Paradise’, his debut EP, through popular tastemaker label Nice Swan Records. The EP showcased his impressive songwriting skills, infectious melodies and raw energy that resonated deeply with listeners.

Building upon the success of his first EP, Bailey signed with influential label So Recordings (Placebo, Enter Shikari, Deaf Havana) for his highly anticipated follow up release. The second offering, a self-titled 4 track EP, further solidified his status as one to watch, even collaborating with Alt Rock heroes Dinosaur Pile-Up for the single ‘Destroy The World’. The EP featured a more refined sound, captivating melodies and an infectious energy that left fans and critics alike yearning for more.

November 2023 saw Jaws The Shark unveil ‘Cream’, a 5 track EP recorded at the esteemed Vada recording studios. The EP further showcased Bailey’s flair for crafting catchy, hook-laden indie-rock that lingers in the listener’s mind long after the final chord has been struck. Notably ‘Cream’ garnered significant acclaim from BBC introducing, a platform renowned for showcasing emerging talent, as well as receiving airplay from influential BBC Radio 1 presenters such as Jack Saunders, Dan P Carter, Nels Hilton and Alyx Holcombe

Jaws The Shark' debut album 'Wasteland' was released via SO Recordings in July 2024 to glowing reviews, with popular tastemaker magazine, Kerrang saying 'When you enter Jaws The Shark’s Wasteland, it feels as if you’ve found a world in which punk is the way it’s supposed to be', with God is in the zine magazine calling it 'A glorious debut'.
