Jack Leonard

Jack Leonard is a writer/producer and co-founder of big beat project Cheapcuts. He got his break as James Lavelle’s right hand man in UNKLE in 2013, writing and producing two studio albums (The Road I & ii) collaborating with artists such as Queens Of The Stoneage, A$AP Rocky, Mick Jones (The Clash) and Mark Lanegan. As well as touring the world as the band’s lead guitarist, he composed the score for the critically acclaimed TV series Trust (FX) working alongside director Danny Boyle.

After leaving UNKLE in 2018 Jack went on to write and produce for other artists including Michael Kiwanuka, Sam Ryder, Caity Baser, Joe Unknown, Banners, Thomas Headon, Baby Queen, Ellur as well as newcomers Aaron Rowe and Hutch.

He continues to work as a composer across adverts, films and podcasts including the award winning ‘It Burns’ with Marc Fennell, ‘Derren Brown’s Bootcamp For Life’ and ‘Michael Caine On Gangs’. Jack’s project Cheapcuts has featured releases from artists such as Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, Dan Caplan, Pigeon John, Tiggs Da Author and Jamie N Commons. Upcoming Cheapcuts releases include features from Simon Franks (from Audio Bullys), OSKA, YSEE, Kanata Okayima, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and many more.
