Julio de la Rosa

Multi-talented, Julio de la Rosa has published eight albums, composed multiple scores and songs for the theatre, dance, documentaries and cinema, written two books of short stories, and two books of poems. 

Before beginning his solo career he was a member of the band El Hombre Burbuja. Now in his solo career Julio de la Rosa has already published multiple albums; including the stand out 'El Espectador' (2008), 'La Herida Universal' (2010) and 'Pequeños Trastornos Sin Importancia' (Ernie Producciones, 2013). 

Many directors have also relied on Julio de la Rosa to soundtrack their films. Including 'Primos', by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo (Asecan Award 2012), 'After' and 'Siete Vírgenes', by Alberto Rodríguez, and Rodríguez's 'Grupo 7', which landed him a Goya Award nomination. 

In 2015 Julio de la Rosa won the Goya Award for Best Original Score with his music for the film 'La Isla Mínima', for which Alberto Rodríguez trusted him once again. Furthermore, Julio de la Rosa’s Score for 'La Isla Mínima' has received acclaim at the Feroz de la Crítica Awards, CEC de los Escritores Cinematográficos Awards and Asecan Awards.
