Jodie Connor

Delivering a welcome dose of R&B-pop to the MC-laden homegrown scene, Mancunian Jodie Connor is the voice you will have heard on Roll Deep’s number one smash ‘Good Times’.

It was in 2009, after a friend arranged a meeting with Wiley at a flat in Manchester that Jodie’s master plan began to take serious shape. Within three months of playing the Godfather of Grime her body of work (an archive of hundreds of tracks), the two had penned club hit ‘Electric Bugaloo’.

The next track to be developed from their writing and production collaboration was ‘Good Times’, the track that would signal Roll Deep’s return to the top of the music scene and deliver their first number one hit.

Having completed the Roll Deep club tour which included performances at Glastonbury, Wakestock, Wireless and dates in Ibiza, plus opening for Diddy Dirty Money in Glasgow, Jodie’s also finished her stint on the MOBO tour alongside Skepta, Aggros Santos and Scorcher, and the Clubland tour featuring stars like Tinchy Stryder and Basshunter.

2011 saw Jodie sign to 3 Beat, the label that has had massive chart success with the likes of Alexandra Stan, Alyssa Reid and Skepta too name but a few. She has also spent time in the studio with Roc Nation writers Makeba Riddick (Beyonce/ Rihanna) and James Fontalroy (Chris Brown/ Leona Lewis/ Ciara) in preparation for her debut album.
